A meeting with Sandrine Kiberlain, one of France's biggest stars, at first seems like the perfect opportunity: a friendship develops between the two, and Corinne begins to believe the right doors are about to open for her. But in a world where everyone is fighting for the spotlight, friendship, ambition and creativity become entangled. This is a film about women trying to find their place in a competitive world, about friendships formed in the most unexpected places, and about the love of acting and the performing arts — even when reality is far from our dreams. Director Marc Fitoussi invites us on a playful, funny, twist-filled journey between film sets, rehearsal rooms and the stage. Isabelle Huppert is wonderful as Corinne, displaying a delightful blend of comedy, vulnerability and determination; opposite her, Sandrine Kiberlain, playing a fictionalized version of herself — together they form a captivating duo whose relationship moves gracefully between friendship, admiration, jealousy and power struggles. 115 minutes, French, Hebrew and English subtitles.
