"Esther, Tamar and Judith" is a concert by the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, connecting the figures of three heroines from Jewish heritage. The concert will be conducted by David Shemer, and alongside the orchestra will appear soprano Keren Motzeri, alto Doreen Sasson, bass Dmitry Nagrimovsky, and German tenor Richard Resch. The figure of Esther is expressed in the overture to the oratorio by Handel and in an aria from the oratorio "Esther" by Christiano Giuseppe Lidarti. Lidarti's work was written for the Portuguese-Jewish community in Amsterdam and inspired by Handel's work; the program will also include "The Voice of the Soul" by Lidarti. Judith's story is told in the oratorio bearing her name by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. The figure of Tamar is presented in the new work "Tamar and Judah" by Hannah Ajiashvili, commissioned by the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra and to be performed in its world premiere. Performers and participants: David Shemer – conductor; Keren Motzeri (Netherlands) – soprano; Doreen Sasson – alto; Dmitry Nagrimovsky – bass; Richard Resch (Germany) – tenor. Composers and program: Georg Friedrich Handel – overture to the oratorio "Esther"; Christiano Giuseppe Lidarti – aria from the oratorio "Esther"; Christiano Giuseppe Lidarti – "The Voice of the Soul"; Hannah Ajiashvili – "Tamar and Judah", world premiere; Marc-Antoine Charpentier – the oratorio "Judith". *The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the program and the list of performers.
