Monday, 02.11.2026, 22 Cheshvan 5787 | Beit Abba Hushi In the presence of the Mayor – Mr. Yona Yahav. As every year, the Ethiopian community in Israel marks the Sigd holiday. The holiday is a day of fasting, purification, and renewal for the community of Ethiopian Jews (Beta Israel), celebrated on the 29th of Cheshvan, fifty days after Yom Kippur.
