The Israeli Ballet proudly presents the world premiere of "Carmen" — an original stage adaptation of the timeless work by the internationally acclaimed, award-winning choreographer Konstantin Uralsky for the Israeli Ballet, based on the famous music of Bizet, in a musical arrangement by Maestro Gil Shohat. Maestro Shohat, one of the central and influential figures in Israeli classical music, gives the work a dramatic, intense, multi-layered interpretation that preserves the spirit of the original while charging it with contemporary power. Uralsky brings to the stage an intense, precise, and compelling movement language. His version of "Carmen" presents a free, uncompromising heroine, moving between passion, power, love, and fate, and places the dancers in a sharp encounter between emotion, rhythm, and movement. The work combines virtuosity with powerful theatrical drama and offers a moving, accessible, and profound stage experience for a wide audience — dance lovers, classical music lovers, and theater lovers alike. Don't miss it! Running time: about 1 hour and 40 minutes, including intermission. The Israeli Ballet's "Carmen" is an exciting encounter between the classical and the contemporary. A work that touches the heart, stirs the senses, and recalls the power of art to retell timeless stories. Original choreography: Konstantin Uralsky. Music: Georges Bizet. Musical arrangement and editing: Gil Shohat. Recorded by: T.S.R. Set design: Roy Vaturi. Costume design: Margarita Alexandrov. Lighting design: Uri Morag.
