A feminine, personal, and local interpretation of the legendary Jewish-Canadian artist. What happens when words that became secular prayers the world over land on the desk of one of Israel's most fascinating creators? The Revolution Orchestra and Aya Korem invite you to dive into the depths of Leonard Cohen's work, in a new interdisciplinary show that translates into 'Israeli' the classics that shaped generations. In an artistic dialogue built on a shared love for Cohen, Korem and the orchestra give the lyrics and melodies a bold new Hebrew garb. The raw, exposed words meet the orchestra in a stage format that moves between the intimacy of the writing room and the full power of the concert stage. A hypnotic musical journey between the sacred and the secular, between Tel Aviv and Montreal, reminding us why these works remain timeless. The songs in the show are performed in Hebrew, translated by Aya Korem. Conductor: Roy Oppenheim. Vocals and translation: Aya Korem. Arrangements and guitar: Adam Ben Amitai. Featuring the Efroni Choir, directed by Berlinsky. Artistic directors: Zohar Sharon and Roy Oppenheim.
