Country: Switzerland 2025 Director: Pierre Monnard Cast: Sarah Spale, Martin Vischer, Rabea Egg, Viviane Zaffe, Ciryl Metzger, Leonardo Nigro ⏱ Runtime: 110 minutes 🌐 Language: German and Swiss German 💬 Subtitles: Hebrew and English Pre-premiere screening — Haifa Film Festival The film tells the true story of Amy Creolet, who went from being a young advertising copywriter to a culinary icon still known and loved in Switzerland today. In 1956 Creolet created Betty Bossi — a fictional character invented to sell margarine — but found herself trying to sell recipes without actually knowing how to cook herself. With the help of an Italian immigrant she learns to cook, and goes on to change the cooking habits of hundreds of thousands of women in Switzerland. But as the lines between the creator and her creation begin to blur, Amy struggles to balance her public persona with her roles at home. The film brings the stunning design of the mid-20th century to the screen, and deals with a society on the brink of change, with a woman grappling with ambition and identity, and with the surprising results of a truly good idea. 110 minutes, German and Swiss German, Hebrew and English subtitles.
