Victor and Bianca are about to get married in a pastoral resort town on the shores of the Black Sea. Preparations for the ceremony are in full swing in the hotel garden; the groom's and bride's parents are having a drink by the pool, when suddenly the calm is shattered and Bianca's world collapses: a woman she doesn't know bursts into the bride's suite and tells her things she didn't know about Victor. "Three Days in September" is the fifth film by the successful Romanian director Tudor Giurgiu, screened as part of the Haifa Festival program. Giurgiu combines a dramatic story about betrayal with touches of romantic comedy, infuses the film with the dark humor so characteristic of him, and dazzles us with a 65-minute scene shot in a single take. Actress Andreea Vasile is wonderful as a bride falling apart. 78 minutes, Romanian, subtitles in Hebrew, English and Russian.
