Philadanco, The Philadelphia Dance Company (PHILDANCO), is a contemporary dance company celebrating its 50th anniversary. The company performs at festivals and on international tours, repeatedly earning praise and audience acclaim. Its repertoire, which includes original works alongside signature pieces by well-known and rising choreographers, blends contemporary/modern dance with African-American elements, similar in style to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and the two companies maintain collaborations, dancer exchanges and choreographic partnerships. 16 exciting dancers will perform thrilling works by the great choreographers of African-American dance.
