Vanya Zhuk with a program of early BG songs: "I Bought Myself an ARP and a Drum Machine" Premiere! Rodeo, 23/09 Questions: WhatsApp 054-4707952 __________ Haifa's famous Rodeo club (some say it's one of the best intimate venues in Israel) has seen a lot. Over the years its vibe has drawn giants of independent rock and singer-songwriter music, and their promoters — Moscow's Sergey Kalugin, St. Petersburg's N.O.M., the US-based Alexander Shcherbina — it's hard to think of any notable touring Russian-speaking musician who hasn't played here. But if BG himself decided to visit this venue, beloved by Haifa locals for its music and food, there's simply no way it could fit everyone who wanted to come, no matter the ticket price. We solved the problem "in the wittiest way," Kharms-style: Rodeo is launching a mini-tour by Vanya Zhuk, the acclaimed leader of the klezmer band Nayekhovichi and guitarist of the blues band Station Mir, performing numbers from Aquarium's early albums "The Blue Album" and "The Triangle." The technological tricks of our time (many have surely heard the word "looper," aka loop station) make it possible to fulfill the dream from the song about the "Young Hooligans": "I'll buy myself an ARP and a drum machine / And record all on my own..." Come dispel the loneliness by singing along to songs we all know from old cassette tapes. Poster photo: Elya Yalonetski
