Country: Italy, 2025 Director: Margherita Spampinato Cast: Marco Fiore, Aurora Quattrocchi, Martina Ciampi, Cami Doga โฑ Duration: 90 minutes ๐ Language: Italian ๐ฌ Subtitles: Hebrew and English Haifa Film Festival. Young Nico is sent to spend his summer months with a kind of elderly "aunt" named Gela. He is opinionated, stubborn, and glued to his phone; she is traditional and conservative, used to manners and a fixed daily routine โ but in the old-fashioned apartment where she has lived most of her life, a rebellious secret is also hiding... The boy's arrival naturally disrupts Gela's life; he talks back, she tries to raise him properly, and the friction between old and new, tradition and modernity, seems inevitable. But gradually a delicate, beautiful bond forms between the two โ one neither of them knew they needed. Spampinato delivers a bittersweet, enchanting coming-of-age story that wins our hearts as it builds a bridge of humanity between two very different worlds. 90 minutes, Italian, Hebrew and English subtitles.
