When you hear the names Valery Dayneko, Igor Penya, Oleg Averin, or Alexander Katikov, the first thought is: "Pesnyary"! No further explanation is needed, because today they are the direct heirs to the true legacy of Pesnyary! These are the very artists who joined the ensemble under Vladimir Mulyavin and who preserve the unique singing traditions of the "golden" lineup of this legendary vocal-instrumental ensemble from Belarus. From November 17 to 23, the Belarusian Legends, who once formed the musical core of Mulyavin's Pesnyary, will tour Israel for the first time The ensemble's concert consists of numerous hits written by Pesnyary and for Pesnyary over the years, making up the celebrated vocal-instrumental ensemble's "Golden Collection," and their "crystal-clear" harmonies literally envelop the audience, with every song met with long, thunderous applause. Wherever the group performs, their shows always go by in one breath. Legendary songs have a legendary past. Even though many of the compositions were written almost half a century ago, they never fail to immerse the audience in a unique atmosphere of joy and celebration. The trick is simple: it lies in the unique blending of authentic motifs with a modern musical sound, multiplied by the rare vocal abilities of the ensemble's soloists. Today's repertoire and the group's songwriting traditions largely follow the principles set by Vladimir Mulyavin. Members and songwriters of the ensemble – Oleg Averin, Valery Dayneko, and Alik Katikov – skillfully use the exceptional capabilities of modern musical instruments to create a unique rhythmic foundation, built on the innovative musical groundwork Mulyavin laid back in the 1970s. First and foremost is the ensemble's signature "Pesnyary" four-part harmony: as incredibly difficult as it is, it is just as incredibly beautiful! That's why the new arrangements are, in spirit, closely aligned with the old classics so beloved by fans of Pesnyary's work. The ensemble's lineup: Valery Dayneko, the legendary soloist of the Pesnyary ensemble, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus. Although he gave up a solo career in favor of the group, for decades now he has, in effect, remained his country's finest male voice. Igor Penya – the ensemble's longtime soloist, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus. For over 40 years his voice has been heard in such unforgettable songs as "Vologda," "Beryozovy Sok" (Birch Sap), "Alesya," "Belorussiya," and others. If Valery Dayneko is called the "golden tenor," then Igor Penya represents power, lyricism, and an incredible vocal range. Oleg Averin – vocals, keyboards, guitar, and the ensemble's composer, performer of songs such as "Nashi Lyubimye" (Our Beloved Ones), "Za Polchasa do Vesny" (Half an Hour Before Spring), "How Deep Is Your Love," and others. Today's ensemble is unimaginable without his songs and arrangements; his versatility and talent are boundless – from arranging melodic folk songs for Pesnyary to performing in joint concerts with Deep Purple. Alexander Katikov – a virtuoso bass guitarist, vocalist, and composer. A key figure in the ensemble. Alexander is a versatile musician who makes a major contribution to the group's modern sound. He is the author of many songs that have become part of the group's "golden fund." Alexander Solovyov – lead guitar, vocals, the ensemble's "guitar voice." His joining the group helped preserve its drive and modern guitar sound. Alexander is a highly technical guitarist who takes on the most complex solo parts. He also takes part in creating the group's signature harmonies. Maxim Pugachyov – keyboardist and composer, author of many of the ensemble's arrangements for such popular songs as "Kasiu Yas Kaniushynu," "Alesya," "Zacharavanaya Maya," and many others. Alexander Poprotsky – a longtime member and the group's permanent sound engineer. He is the one who shapes the group's unmistakable, recognizable sound.
