The "Beit Imun" project at the Pyramida Center for Contemporary Art connects resident artists with artists at the start of their careers. As part of the initiative, resident artists mentor young artists, guide them curatorially, and host them in presenting their first solo exhibition. The project gives the next generation of artists their first exposure and enriches Haifa's cultural life. On September 16, the exhibition "Act of Drawing" will open at the Beit Imun Gallery in Pyramida — a solo exhibition by artist Vardit Kiper, curated by Yaakov Hefetz. "Beit Imun" is a project that brings together young artists early in their artistic careers with the center's resident artists, letting the resident artists experience the curatorial side — from choosing the artist and body of work to building the exhibition and presenting it to the public. In this exhibition, Hefetz encounters Kiper's work, which deals with drawing as an ongoing act of movement and formation: a flowing line moves across the paper, winds, converges into an image, and at times breaks free to become an independent mark of color. For Kiper, drawing does not seek to imitate an existing reality, but to create a reality out of the movement of the hand and the encounter between the line, the paper, and the image. The exhibition is open to the public at Pyramida during opening hours: Sunday–Thursday | 10:00–15:00 Friday | 9:00–13:00
