Deniz, the eldest son, is the only one who managed to leave the village and study in the city. For his sister Ceren, the only option was, of course, marriage, and the youngest son, Halit, was forced to take on the care of their disabled brother, Yasin. For Ceren's wedding ceremony, they are together again in their childhood home, drawn back into the complex tangle of family ties, with all its memories, secrets and hopes. The new film by director Ferit Karahan ("Brother's Keeper" - Haifa Festival 2021) comes to us straight from its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. The film takes us to an isolated village in Anatolia and delivers a distinctive and stunning family drama, beautifully acted and shot, and rooted in the region's folk traditions and history. 132 minutes, Turkish, Hebrew and English subtitles.
