A tribute to Buena Vista Social Club – Hot Jazz, the international series Arahí Martínez Carranza & Daniel Lopez Montejo All Stars (Cuba) The Cuban singer Arahí, one of the voices most identified with the soul of deep Cuba, comes to Hot Jazz with a special tribute show to Buena Vista Social Club, the project that brought back to the world the magic of Cuban son, bolero and cha-cha-cha. Alongside her will perform the singer Daniel Lopez Montejo, an artist with deep Cuban roots, and together their voices will bring to the stage the harmony, warmth and authenticity of traditional music. Arahí Martínez Carranza, known by her stage name Arahí, was born into a family of musicians in Santa Clara, Cuba. She was the lead singer of the ANACAONA orchestra, the first women's orchestra in the Americas, with whom artists including Celia Cruz and Omara Portuondo performed. With Anacaona she performed for years in more than 25 countries alongside world-renowned artists, took part in radio and television programs in her country, and recorded several albums. In 2023 she was part of the continuation of the legendary ensemble BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB with Estrellas de BuenaVista and other original members of the traditional Cuban music ensemble, and went with them on a world tour in 2023–2024. They will be accompanied by a Cuban instrumental ensemble that gives the show the full sound of Havana. Alongside them will play Fernando Knopf (electric bass), who is also the musical director and one of the leaders of the Latin music scene in Israel. The show will feature beloved classics from Buena Vista Social Club, including: Dos Gardenias, Chan Chan, El Cuarto de Tula, Quizás, Quizás, Quizás An evening full of soul, rhythm and longing — a true Cuban celebration that brings the Buena Vista spirit back to the stage in full force!
